Meet Our Llamas!

Oreo (Romeo)

Iskotay (Izzy)

Sassy yet sweet, Izzy is an example of one of our calico appaloosa llamas and almost identical to her father Lakota. Izzy had a rough start when her mother rejected her as a baby but has since grown to be a wonderful program animal.

Ladyhawk

Ladyhawk has been a program llama for over 10 years now! While she is one of the biggest at Rowanwood Farm, Ladyhawk is a gentile giant. She loves meeting new people and hiking but we call her the Caboose because she goes one speed…slow.

Lark

Lark is another one of our many program llamas. You can usually visit Lark on the Farm or at one of our events for a meet and greet. She loves getting all the attention and meeting new friends.

Little Crow

Little Crow is a very different llama. Having a rough start by losing her mom when she was born, Crow had to be bottle fed for the first 6 months of her life. Unfortunately she developed some personality quirks. Little Crow is part of our breeding program and has proven to be a wonderful mother to two adorable crias.

Lloo-Lloo

The matriarch and our oldest llama at 20 years old, Lloo-lloo has been a big part of our program animals. She is now retired from hiking but is still part of one the farm events so you can still visit her if your part of the Lloo-lloo fan club. Lloo-lloo is featured on our t-shirts and logo. She loves water and is one smart cookie knowing how to open the barn doors. There’s always one in a herd.

Llucky

Llucky is one of our therapy and program llamas. She is one you will see hiking, in cria crawls, and visiting events. Llucky has been all over at a rock concert, out in the vineyard, and even at a nursing home. She is very smart and gentile with a keen eye to notice everything around her. Llucky is one very special member of Rowanwood Farm.

Maple

The great grandmother of the group, Maple is one of our rare Argentinian llamas. She is as sweet as they come and always looking out for the younger llamas. Maple is one of our program llamas that joins us for hiking and farm tour events. You may have met her grand-daughter, Tasweeka and great grand-daughter, Mishkikki on the farm.

Meegwetch (Meg)

Meg is one of the newest llamas in our breeding program. Though she is not yet a mother, she is very sweet and will come greet you during our cria crawl farm tours.

NEW BABY - Migizi

Meet the newest member of Rowanwood Farm! He is a gorgeous rose grey color and has a strong powerful name. Migizi means eagle which is a very important and noble bird in Native American culture.

Mishkikki

Mishkikki is our newest junior hiker in training. She is Little Crow’s first baby and is currently in our training program ‘Baby Bootcamp’ where she will go on to earn her graduation bells. You will be able to see Mishkikki on the hiking trials as part of her training as a program llama.

Moaning Moon

Our Miss Moaning Moon is a hike veteran, leader of the herd on the trails. She often hums, thus the name ‘moaning’…plus one of our recent guests nicknamed her ‘Mona Lisa’…!

Pawnee Dakini (Zucchini)

A veteran hiking llama, she has a wonderful temperament and is a fabulous therapy animal and presence on our llama hikes.

Shoshone

One of our rare Calico Appaloosa llamas, always gets Oohs and Ahhs when she struts her stuff on the trails.

Tamarack (Boyfriend)

Tasweeka (Taz)

Teddy

Wampum

Wampum is our big boy, serving as a guardian to the herd at the farm. He is extremely alert patrolling perimeters and very curious when guests come to visit the barn.

Rosie the Crazy Goat

Our Loved Crazy Goat Rosie always comes up to see what you have, maybe a treat, maybe not, still she comes and checks.

Hazelnut Faith Puppy-cow

Although she may get in our way when doing chores, grabbing our broom or bumping into us, she always means well and is a big ball of love. We rescued Faith and now she lives with us, happy and well fed.

Some Of Our Llamas Moved On

Meep

Meep was always one of our most curious and odd llamas, but we couldn’t help but love him. He provided so many good laughs, and was a true character. He would play with volunteers hair, shirts and shoe laces all for attention and affection. We miss him and know he taught us the lesson to be silly and fun.

Lakota

Lakota is one of the few herd-sires that has moved on to Ticket Network Animal Sanctuary where he now keeps Nimbus (another llama) company. Lakota is the father to quite a few of our llamas and throws his beautiful appaloosa markings. You may have met a few of his daughters, Shoshone, Dakini, and Iskotay.

Abinooji

Abinooji now lives on a private farm with a friendly alpaca, he has plenty of space to graze and play, and particular enjoys running and playing with his ball.
